Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Sawtooth. Head east on ID-75 N for about 20 miles. Continue on ID-75 N until you reach the junction with ID-21. Turn left onto ID-21 N and follow it for approximately 15 miles. Look for signs for Forest Road 700; turn left onto Forest Road 700 and continue for about 2 miles. The Sawtooth Lodge will be on your right.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take the local bus service from Sawtooth to Lowman. The bus will take you along ID-75 N and drop you off at the junction with ID-21. From there, you will need to call a taxi or rideshare service to cover the remaining distance to Sawtooth Lodge on Forest Road 700, which is approximately a 15-minute drive. Expect to pay around $20-$30 for the taxi ride.
Bicycle
For the more adventurous, consider biking to Sawtooth Lodge. Start from Sawtooth and follow ID-75 N, which has a shoulder for cyclists. After about 20 miles, turn left onto ID-21 N and continue for another 15 miles. Finally, take a left onto Forest Road 700 and bike for about 2 miles. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks, as this route can be strenuous.
Walking
Walking to Sawtooth Lodge is not recommended due to the distance (approximately 37 miles) and the lack of pedestrian-friendly pathways. However, if you are determined, you can walk east on ID-75 N, then follow the same route as mentioned for cars. Be prepared for a long trek and ensure you have adequate provisions.
