Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from the center of Silver Valley, head east on I-90 E. Continue on I-90 E for about 10 miles. Take exit 61 toward Wallace and merge onto ID-3 N. Follow ID-3 N for about 1 mile, then turn right onto 6th St. The Center of the Universe will be on your left at 414 6th St, Wallace, ID 83873. There is no fee for parking on the street.

• Public Transportation

  To reach the Center of the Universe via public transportation, take the local bus service from Silver Valley to Wallace. Check the local bus schedule for the exact times, as services may vary. Once you arrive in Wallace, walk about 0.5 miles from the bus stop to the Center of the Universe. Head west on Bank St, then turn left onto 6th St. Walk until you reach 414 6th St. Be sure to check the bus fare, which typically costs around $1.50.

• Bicycle

  For those who enjoy biking, you can ride from Silver Valley to Wallace. Follow the scenic River Road (also known as the Coeur d'Alene River Road) which is approximately 10 miles long. This route is relatively flat and offers beautiful views of the river. Once you reach Wallace, navigate to 6th St where the Center of the Universe is located at 414 6th St. Be sure to wear a helmet and bring water, as there are no bike rental services in the immediate area.

• Walking

  If you are already in Wallace, walking to the Center of the Universe is a great option. Depending on where you are in Wallace, you can navigate to 6th St. If you are near the Wallace Visitor Center, head west on Bank St and then turn left onto 6th St. The Center of the Universe will be on your left at 414 6th St. This should take about 10-15 minutes on foot.
