    If you're driving, start from downtown Boise and head east on W Main St. Continue onto E Broadway Ave, then take a right onto S 13th St. Follow it until you reach E Old Penitentiary Rd. Turn left on E Old Penitentiary Rd and follow it until you reach the Old Penitentiary/Table Rock Trailhead at 2421 E Old Penitentiary Rd. Parking is available on-site, and there is no fee for parking.

  • Public Transportation

    For public transportation, you can take the ValleyRide bus system. Board Bus Line 1 at a stop near your location heading towards the Boise Airport. Get off at the 'W 8th St & S Main St' stop. From there, transfer to Bus Line 9 towards 'Eagle'. Get off at the 'E Old Penitentiary Rd & S 28th St' stop. The trailhead is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Walk east on E Old Penitentiary Rd until you reach the trailhead. Be sure to check the ValleyRide website for the latest schedule and any fare costs.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer to bike, Boise has a bike-friendly infrastructure. You can ride from downtown Boise east along the Greenbelt path which runs parallel to the river. Follow the path until you reach E Old Penitentiary Rd, then turn left and continue to the trailhead. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all local biking regulations.

    If you're nearby and prefer to walk, the trailhead is accessible from the foothills area. Starting from the Boise River Greenbelt, take the path leading up towards E Old Penitentiary Rd.
