Public Transit - Train
From Arlington Heights Metra Station, board the Union Pacific Northwest Line train towards Chicago. The journey takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Ogilvie Transportation Center in downtown Chicago, exit the station and head to the nearby Washington/Wells station. Transfer to the Brown Line or Pink Line trains and travel two stops to the Harold Washington Library station. From there, it's a 10-minute walk to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra located at 220 S Michigan Ave. Head south on S State St, turn right onto W Adams St, and then turn left onto S Michigan Ave.

From Arlington Heights, take the Pace Bus Route 696 towards Des Plaines. Transfer to the CTA Blue Line at the Rosemont station. Ride the Blue Line to the Washington station, where you will transfer to the Red Line. Take the Red Line towards 95th/Dan Ryan and get off at the Harold Washington Library stop.
