From downtown Arlington Heights, head to the Arlington Heights Metra Station located at 45 W Northwest Hwy. Take the Union Pacific Northwest Line train towards Chicago. Travel to the Ogilvie Transportation Center in Chicago. Once you arrive, transfer to the Metra Electric Line by following the signs to the 'Metra Electric' platform. Take the train towards University Park and get off at the 57th St. station. From 57th St., walk south on 57th St. towards S Woodlawn Ave. Turn left onto S Woodlawn Ave and continue until you reach 5757 S Woodlawn Ave, which is the Frederick C. Robie House.

From Arlington Heights, head to the nearest bus stop for the PACE bus service. Take the PACE bus #696 towards Des Plaines. Get off at the 'O'Hare Transfer' station. From there, transfer to the CTA Blue Line train towards Forest Park. Get off at the 'Washington' station and transfer to the CTA Green Line train towards Cottage Grove. Get off at '47th' station and walk east to S Woodlawn Ave. Turn left and continue until you reach the Frederick C. Robie House at 5757 S Woodlawn Ave.
