From Arlington Heights, start at the Arlington Heights Metra Station. Take the Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line towards Chicago Ogilvie Transportation Center. The journey will take approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Ogilvie, follow the signs to transfer to the CTA 'L' trains. Take the Pink Line or the Green Line to Clark/Lake Station. From Clark/Lake, transfer to the Red Line towards Howard and get off at the State/Lake Station. After exiting, walk east on Lake Street towards Michigan Avenue, then turn left (north) onto Michigan Avenue. Continue walking for about 10 minutes until you reach Tribune Tower located at 435 Michigan Ave.

From there, board the Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line towards Chicago Ogilvie Transportation Center.
