Getting There

• Public Transit

  If you are starting from downtown Aurora, head to the Aurora Transportation Center. You can take the Metra train from here to the Route 59 station. From Route 59, transfer to the Pace bus #530, which will take you towards the Oakhurst Forest Preserve. Get off at the stop on 5th Avenue. From there, walk north for about 0.5 miles along 5th Avenue until you reach the entrance of Oakhurst Forest Preserve at 1680 5th Ave, Aurora, IL 60504.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from local shops around downtown Aurora. Start by heading east on New York Street, then turn onto 5th Avenue and continue straight. The ride is about 2.5 miles and should take around 15-20 minutes. Follow the bike lanes where available, and you'll arrive at Oakhurst Forest Preserve at 1680 5th Ave, Aurora, IL 60504.

• Walking

  For those who enjoy walking, if you are near the Fox River, you can follow the riverwalk north towards downtown Aurora. From there, make your way towards 5th Avenue. It's about a 2.5-mile walk and will take you approximately 50 minutes. Once you reach 5th Avenue, head south until you arrive at Oakhurst Forest Preserve located at 1680 5th Ave, Aurora, IL 60504.
