Getting There

  • Public Transit

    From downtown Chicago, locate the nearest 'L' train station. If you're near the State/Lake station, take the Brown Line towards Kimball. Transfer at the Washington/Wells station to the Orange Line towards Midway. Get off at the Harold Washington Library station and transfer to the Red Line towards 95th/Dan Ryan. Get off at the 35th-Bronzeville-IIT station. From there, you can catch the #3 bus towards 95th/Dan Ryan. Get off at the Solidarity Dr stop. Walk east towards the lakefront, and you will find the Adler Planetarium and the Skyline Walk.

    If you are closer to Grant Park, start walking south towards the Museum Campus. Head along the path that runs along the lakefront. Follow the signs towards the Adler Planetarium. The walk will take you along the scenic lakefront trail, and you will arrive at the Adler Planetarium at 517 E Solidarity Dr.

    If you prefer to bike, you can rent a Divvy bike from one of the many stations around downtown Chicago. Head south on the lakefront trail towards the Museum Campus.
