Walking
If you are in the West Loop, you can easily walk to the Chicago & Northwestern Powerhouse. Start at the intersection of W Randolph St and N Halsted St. Head south on N Halsted St towards W Lake St. Continue straight as N Halsted becomes N Clinton St. The Powerhouse will be on your left at 217 N Clinton St. The walk should take about 10-15 minutes depending on your pace.
Public Transportation (Bus)
From any location in West Loop, find a nearby bus stop that serves the CTA bus routes. For instance, you can catch the #8 Halsted bus heading south. Board the bus and ride until you reach the stop at W Lake St & N Clinton St. Get off the bus and walk north on N Clinton St for a short distance. The Chicago & Northwestern Powerhouse will be located at 217 N Clinton St. A single ride on the bus costs $2.50.
Public Transportation (Train)
If you prefer to use the 'L' train, head to the nearest station, such as the UIC-Halsted station on the Pink Line. Board the train heading towards Polk. After one stop, transfer at the Damen station to the Blue Line. Board the train heading towards O'Hare and get off at the Washington station. From there, it's a 10-15 minute walk: head east on W Washington Blvd, turn right on N Clinton St, and the Powerhouse will be on your right at 217 N Clinton St. The cost for a single ride is also $2.50.
