Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving to Adler Planetarium Skyline Walk, use your GPS and enter the address: 517 E Solidarity Dr, Chicago, IL 60605. From the north or south, take I-90/I-94 and exit at 18th St. Follow 18th St east to S. Lake Shore Dr. and turn left. Continue heading north on Lake Shore Dr. until you reach the museum campus area. There is a parking lot available near the planetarium, but expect to pay around $25 for parking.

• Public Transportation - Train

  To reach Adler Planetarium via public transportation, take the Metra train to the Museum Campus/11th St. station. From there, exit the station and walk east towards the lake. Follow the path leading to the Adler Planetarium, which is about a 10-minute walk. Ensure to check the Metra schedule for train times. A one-way ticket costs approximately $5.

• Public Transportation - Bus

  If you're taking the bus, you can catch the #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express or the #130 Museum Campus bus. Both routes will take you directly to the Museum Campus. The closest bus stop to the Adler Planetarium is at 18th St. and Lake Shore Dr. After getting off, walk east towards the planetarium. A single bus fare is $2.50, and you can use a Ventra card for payment.

• Biking

  For those who prefer biking, there are bike lanes along Lake Shore Dr. You can rent a Divvy bike from one of the many stations in downtown Chicago. Once you arrive at the Museum Campus, there are bike racks available for you to secure your bike. Renting a Divvy bike costs around $15 for a day pass.
