Getting There

• Public Transit - Train

  From Naperville, head to the Naperville Metra Station located at 105 E 4th Ave. Take the Union Pacific West Line train towards Chicago. After about 35-40 minutes, get off at the Ogilvie Transportation Center in downtown Chicago. From there, transfer to the CTA Red Line at the Washington/Wells station. Board a train heading south towards 95th/Dan Ryan. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at the 47th station. Finally, take the bus #43 or walk about 15 minutes southeast to reach the Hall Branch of the Chicago Public Library located at 4801 S Michigan Ave.

• Public Transit - Bus

  Starting from Naperville, make your way to the nearest bus stop that services Pace Bus routes. Take Pace Route 834 towards the Aurora Transportation Center. After about 30 minutes, get off at the Aurora Transportation Center. From there, transfer to Metra and take the train towards Chicago (Union Station). Arrive at the Ogilvie Transportation Center, then switch to the CTA Red Line at Washington/Wells station. Take the train south, getting off at the 47th station. From there, you can either take bus #43 or walk about 15 minutes southeast to reach the Hall Branch of the Chicago Public Library at 4801 S Michigan Ave.

• Walking from a Nearby Train

  If you're already in Chicago and near the 47th street station on the CTA Red Line, exit the train and walk east on 47th street. Continue for about 10 minutes until you reach Michigan Ave. Turn right (south) on Michigan Ave and walk for another 5 minutes. The Hall Branch of the Chicago Public Library will be on your left at 4801 S Michigan Ave.
