If you are in Cicero, head to the Cicero Pink Line Station located at 1900 S Cicero Ave. Board the Pink Line train toward 18th. Ride the train until you reach the Damen station. Transfer to the Blue Line train at the Damen station, heading towards O'Hare. Ride the Blue Line train to the Washington station, where you will transfer to the Red Line train. Board the Red Line train towards Howard and get off at the Clark/Division station. From there, walk east on Division Street until you reach the intersection with State Street, then turn left and head north on State Street. Continue walking until you reach 60 W Walton St, where the Newberry Library is located.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of Cicero and prefer to walk, start at the Cicero Community Park located at 3900 S Cicero Ave. Walk east towards Kedzie Ave and head north until you reach the Kedzie Pink Line Station. Take the Pink Line train towards 18th, then transfer to the Blue Line at the Damen station. After reaching the Washington station, switch to the Red Line and travel to Clark/Division station. From there, walk east on Division Street, turn left at State Street, and walk north until you arrive at 60 W Walton St, the Newberry Library.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, start at Cicero Community Park and head east on 39th St until you reach Kedzie Ave. Take Kedzie Ave north to 18th St and continue until you reach the Damen station. From there, take the Pink Line train to the Blue Line and transfer to the Washington station. After that, switch to the Red Line, and ride to Clark/Division station. Bike the last leg from Clark/Division, heading east on Division St, then turn left on State St and continue until you reach 60 W Walton St.
