Public Transport

From the Elgin Transportation Center, take the PACE bus Route 800 towards Elgin Community College. Get off at the intersection of Symphony Way and E Highland Ave, which is about a 10-minute ride. Walk east on E Highland Ave, then turn left onto Symphony Way. The Haight is at 166 Symphony Way. The bus fare is approximately $1.75.
Walking

If you are in downtown Elgin, head south on N Grove Ave toward E Chicago St. Continue straight for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with E Highland Ave. Turn left onto E Highland Ave and walk for about 0.2 miles. You will then see Symphony Way on your right. Turn onto Symphony Way and walk straight for about 0.1 miles. The Haight will be located at 166 Symphony Way, on your left.
Parking

While The Haight doesn't have its own parking lot, there are several free parking lots and street parking options around the building. The closest parking lot and garage are located at the corner of Symphony Way and Douglas Ave. The city of Elgin provides free parking in city-owned surface lots and decks for up to 72 hours. On-street parking is limited to 2 hours between 8 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday.

The Haight, located in downtown Elgin, Illinois, is a captivating event venue known for its exceptional ambiance and versatile spaces. Housed in a renovated industrial warehouse dating back to 1890, the building was originally the Elgin Storage and Transfer Company. This company provided horse-drawn transportation for workers commuting to and from the Elgin watch factory. Evidence of the original horse stalls can still be seen on the main floor.Over the years, the building has served various purposes, including housing the Elgin Saddlery and Milk Company, the Elgin Sanitary Milk Company, the Cable Piano Company, and the Ludwig Dairy. In 1985, John Haight Sr. purchased the building, and the Haight family has operated it since. The Haight underwent a remarkable transformation in 2015, turning it into a unique event destination.The Haight offers 12,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space. The first floor features 2,000 square feet suitable for cocktail receptions and smaller events. The second floor provides 7,000 square feet of event space that can accommodate up to 220 guests. The rooftop deck offers a picturesque backdrop for ceremonies, cocktail hours, and photos. The original second-floor apartment, once the home of the Elgin Storage and Transfer Company's owner, has been converted into a bridal suite. The Haight is family-owned and operated, and the staff is dedicated to making every event special.
