    From Illinois Beach State Park, head south on IL-131 S (Green Bay Road) towards Wadsworth. Continue on IL-131 S for about 12 miles until you reach the intersection with IL-120 W. Turn left onto IL-120 W and continue for approximately 8 miles. Merge onto I-39 N via the ramp to Rockford. Continue on I-39 N for about 24 miles, then take exit 111 for IL-64 W towards Oregon. Turn right onto IL-64 W and follow it for about 15 miles until you reach the entrance of Castle Rock State Park at 1365 W Castle Rd, Oregon, IL 61061.

    Starting from Illinois Beach State Park, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service to the nearest bus station, which is in Waukegan. From there, take the Pace Bus Route 570 towards Rockford. After approximately an hour, get off at the stop for Oregon. From the bus stop, you can either walk or take a local taxi for the remaining 3 miles to Castle Rock State Park at 1365 W Castle Rd, Oregon, IL 61061. Note that bus fares vary, and a taxi from the bus stop to the park will incur additional costs.
