From anywhere in the Illinois Ozarks, you can reach Cave-In-Rock State Park by car. If you are near Harrisburg, take IL-34 south for about 30 miles until you reach the junction with IL-1. Turn left onto IL-1 and continue for about 10 miles. Follow the signs for Cave-In-Rock, and then turn onto New State Park Road. The park entrance will be on your left. Make sure to check your fuel before traveling, as there are limited gas stations in the area.

For those relying on public transportation, you can take a bus from larger towns like Marion or Carbondale to Harrisburg. From Harrisburg, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service, as there is no direct public transport to Cave-In-Rock State Park.
