Walking
The Old Blacksmith Shop is located at 245 N Commerce St, in the Galena Historic District, a short walk from many downtown attractions. From Main Street, walk north on Commerce Street. The shop will be on your left, marked by its red barn and sign.
Public Transport
Jo Daviess County Transit provides public transportation within Galena. Call 815-777-8088 for service within Galena. The general fare is $0.50 each way, but a 24-hour advance notice is required.
Parking
Parking is available throughout downtown Galena, though it can be limited during busy times. There is free parking on Spring Street and a large free parking lot on the east side of the river near the Old Train Depot Visitors' Information Center. An all-day paid public parking lot is located north of downtown on Meeker Street for $5 on weekends and free Monday-Friday.
