Public Transport
The Gateway Arch is easily accessible via St. Louis's MetroLink Light Rail. Exit at the 8th and Pine Streets or Laclede's Landing stations and follow the signs to the Arch, which is approximately a 10-minute walk. The MetroLink fare is $2.50. Several MetroBus routes also run close to the park. Use the Trip Planner to find the best route to Gateway Arch National Park.
Walking
From downtown St. Louis, the Gateway Arch is within walking distance. Head east towards the riverfront. Follow Washington Avenue or Market Street east, then head south towards the Arch grounds. The walk is well-signed and takes approximately 15-20 minutes from most downtown hotels.
Driving
If driving, preferred parking is available at the Stadium East Garage at 200 South Broadway. Pre-purchase parking online at iparkit.com/TheArch for a discounted rate of $10 for up to 5 hours. Validation is required inside the Visitor Center if you do not pre-purchase parking. Be aware of special event parking rates during Cardinals game days. Other parking lots are available downtown, but it may be a considerable walk to the Arch.
