If you are starting from the Joliet Public Library at 150 N Ottawa St, head south on Ottawa Street toward Jefferson Street. Turn left onto Jefferson Street and continue until you reach Columbia Street. Turn right onto Columbia Street, and the Joliet Iron Works Historic Site will be on your left at 31 Columbia St. This walk is approximately 1.2 miles and should take around 25 minutes.

From the Joliet Metra Station at 200 W Jefferson St, walk to the nearest bus stop at Jefferson St & Scott St. Board the Pace Bus Route 501 towards Joliet. Get off at the Columbia St & Jefferson St stop. From there, walk north on Columbia Street for about 0.2 miles, and you will reach the Joliet Iron Works Historic Site at 31 Columbia St. The total travel time should be around 30 minutes.

Starting from the Joliet Park District at 3000 W Jefferson St, take the bike path that runs along Jefferson Street heading east. Continue until you reach the intersection with Columbia Street. Turn left onto Columbia Street and ride for about half a mile. The Joliet Iron Works Historic Site will be on your right at 31 Columbia St. This route is approximately 2.5 miles and should take around 15 minutes by bike.
