From downtown Joliet, walk to the Joliet Transportation Center located at 200 W Jefferson St. Catch the Pace Bus Route 834 towards Chicago. You'll need to transfer at the 95th/Dan Ryan station to the Green Line train towards Ashland. Get off at the Cottage Grove stop and transfer to the #55 bus towards 55th Street. Get off at the 1130 Midway Plaisance stop, and you'll find Midway Plaisance Park just a short walk away.

Bicycle
Rent a bike from a local rental service in Joliet. Head east towards the I&M Canal Trail and follow the trail north until you reach the metra line. Continue on the trail, which takes you to the Des Plaines River Trail. Follow the trail until you reach the South Shore Line. From there, take the trail towards Chicago, and follow the signs directing you to Midway Plaisance Park, which is located at 1130 Midway Plaisance.

If you are near the Joliet Public Library, start walking east on Jefferson St. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Chicago St. Turn right onto Chicago St and continue until you reach the Joliet Train Station. From the train station, take the Metra train to the 95th/Dan Ryan stop, then walk to the Green Line station. Take the train towards Ashland, and get off at the Cottage Grove stop. From there, you can walk straight to Midway Plaisance Park, which is only a few blocks away.
