If you are in Joliet, you can take the Pace Bus Line 863 towards Chicago. Board the bus at the Joliet Public Library stop. After approximately 45 minutes, get off at the 'Chicago Union Station' stop. From Union Station, transfer to the Metra Electric Line towards University Park. Get off at the '53rd Street' station, then walk north on S. Ellis Ave for about 10 minutes to reach The University of Chicago at 5801 S Ellis Ave.

From Joliet, head to the Joliet Metra Station. Take the Metra Rock Island Line toward Chicago. After about an hour, get off at the 'Van Buren Street' station. From there, walk to the Harold Washington Library and transfer to the CTA Red Line. Take the train southbound to the '63rd' station. From 63rd, catch the #4 or #55 bus heading east to 'Ellis Ave'. Walk north on S. Ellis Ave for about 5 minutes to reach The University of Chicago.
