Ferne Clyffe State Park is located on Illinois Route 37, one mile south of Goreville and about 12 miles south of Marion, Illinois. From I-24, take Exit 7 and follow the signs to Route 37. From I-57, take the Marion exit and head south on Route 37. Once on Route 37, follow the signs to the park entrance. The park has multiple parking lots located near the main attractions and trailheads. Parking is free. Be aware that the park can get crowded during peak season, especially on weekends. Check local weather conditions before heading out, especially during winter.

If you are in Goreville, you can access Ferne Clyffe State Park via the Goreville Boy Scout Trail. This 0.5-mile trail connects the town to the park, providing a scenic and moderately difficult walk. The trailhead in Goreville has a small parking lot. From the trailhead, follow the gravel path uphill towards the park. Be aware that the trail is a steady uphill climb from the town end.
