Getting There

• Walking

  From the main entrance of Matthiessen State Park, head straight on the main trail leading into the park. After approximately 0.5 miles, you will reach a fork in the path. Take the left path, which leads towards the scenic areas of the park. Continue for another 0.3 miles until you reach the sign for Matthiessen Lake. Follow the signs to Matthiessen Lake Waterfall, which is about 0.2 miles further along the trail. The waterfall is located near the lake, surrounded by beautiful views.

• Biking

  If you have brought a bike, you can easily ride from the park entrance to Matthiessen Lake Waterfall. Begin at the main entrance and take the bike-friendly trail that leads into the park. Follow the same route as the walking path, which is approximately 1.0 mile to the waterfall. Make sure to keep an eye out for any signs indicating the direction to Matthiessen Lake. The bike ride is enjoyable and offers a chance to see more of the park's beauty.
