Walking
From the Starved Rock State Park Visitor Center, follow the well-marked trail to Eagle Cliff Overlook. The hike is approximately 0.8 miles and should take around 45 minutes. The trail can be steep and rugged in some areas, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water. Follow the green trail markers. There are stairs to climb. No fees are required.

Driving
From Oglesby, IL, follow IL-71 W to the junction with IL-178 N. Turn left onto IL-178 N and follow it to Starved Rock State Park. Once in the park, follow the signs to the Visitor Center. Parking is free at the main visitor center parking lot. From the visitor center, follow the walking directions to the overlook. Parking at the Starved Rock Lodge is also an option; from there, you can hike to Eagle Cliff.
