The overlook is located a short distance from the main trail.

From the park's main entrance, follow the road towards the Visitor Center. Park in the main lot or, if full, proceed to the overflow lot across from the Starved Rock Lodge. From either lot, follow the walking guidance to reach Lover's Leap Overlook. Parking is free. During peak season, parking lots may close when full.
