Getting There

Walking
From the Visitor Center at Matthiessen State Park, head south on the main trail. Continue along the well-marked paths leading towards the canyons. After about 0.5 miles, you will come to a fork in the trail. Take the path that leads to French Canyon, which is clearly signposted. Follow this trail for another 0.3 miles, and you will arrive at the entrance to French Canyon.
