From the Naperville Metra Station, take the train on the BNSF Railway Line towards Chicago Union Station. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Union Station, exit the station and head to the 'Clark/Lake' subway station. Take the 'Brown Line' towards Kimball and transfer at the 'Washington/Wells' station to the 'Red Line' towards Howard. Get off at the 'Chicago' station and transfer to the 'State Street' bus #145 or the #146 towards the 'Lake Shore Drive'. Get off at the 'Lake Shore Drive/Grand Avenue' stop. From there, it's a short walk east to 540 N Lake Shore Dr, where Bobby's Bike Hike is located.

Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bike in Naperville. Start at the Naperville Riverwalk and follow the DuPage River Trail heading northeast. This scenic route will take you around 7 miles. Follow the trail until you reach the Fox River, then connect to the Illinois Prairie Path. Continue until you find the route leading to Chicago. Once you get into Chicago, follow signs to the Lake Shore Drive area. Bobby's Bike Hike is located at 540 N Lake Shore Dr, just off the bike paths along the lake.

If you are staying in a nearby hotel, consider walking to Bobby's Bike Hike. Begin at the nearest landmark, such as the Naperville Riverwalk, and head south towards Water Street. From there, navigate east until you can reach the BNSF train station. Take the train into Chicago as described above. Once you arrive in Chicago, exit the train and walk towards the lakefront, following the signs for 'Lake Shore Drive'. It is roughly a 15-minute walk from the Chicago train station to Bobby's Bike Hike at 540 N Lake Shore Dr.
