Public Transit
From anywhere in downtown Chicago, you can reach the Chicago River by taking the 'L' train. If you're near the State/Lake station, board the Brown, Green, Orange, Pink, or Purple line trains. Ride to the Washington/Wells station. Once you exit the station, head east on Washington Street until you reach the riverbank. You will see the beautiful Chicago River directly in front of you.

If you're at Millennium Park, you can easily walk to the Chicago River. Start at the park's entrance on Michigan Avenue and head west towards Randolph Street.
