If you're traveling by car, start by getting onto I-55 N from your current location in Northern Illinois. Depending on where you are, this may involve taking local roads to access I-55. Once on I-55 N, continue traveling for approximately 40 miles. Take exit 182 for IL-24 toward Chenoa. After exiting, turn left onto IL-24 E and follow it for about 3 miles. As you enter Chenoa, turn right onto N 1st Ave. The Matthew T. Scott House is located at 227 N 1st Ave, which will be on your left. There is free street parking available near the house.
