    From Oak Lawn, head to the closest Metra station, Oak Lawn Station. Take the Metra Rock Island Line (towards LaSalle St. Station in Chicago). The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at LaSalle St. Station, transfer to the 'L' train by taking the Brown Line towards Kimball. Get off at the Clark/Lake stop. From there, walk north along Clark Street for about 1 mile. The Chicago History Museum will be on your left at 1601 N Clark St.

    From Oak Lawn, locate the nearest bus stop for the Pace Bus Route 835. Board the bus heading towards the Chicago area. After approximately a 40-minute ride, get off at the stop at 95th Street & Western Avenue. Transfer to the CTA Orange Line at the 95th/Dan Ryan station. Ride the Orange Line to the Harold Washington Library stop. Then, transfer to the Brown Line towards Kimball and get off at Clark/Lake. Walk north on Clark Street for about 1 mile to reach the Chicago History Museum at 1601 N Clark St.

    If you are already near the Oak Lawn Metra Station and prefer to walk, head north on 95th Street until you reach Cicero Avenue. Turn left (west) on 95th Street and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Western Avenue. From there, you can either catch a bus or continue walking north on Western until you reach Clark Street. Turn left on Clark and walk about 1 mile to the museum at 1601 N Clark St.
