From anywhere in Oak Lawn, head to the nearest Metra station, which is the Oak Lawn Station located at 100th Ave and 50th St. Take the Metra Rock Island Line train towards Chicago. Disembark at the 115th St. station. From there, transfer to the CTA's 95th/Dan Ryan station using the 95 bus. Ride the 95 bus until you reach the Evanston area. Once you arrive in Evanston, you can take the 201 bus headed north towards the Northwestern University campus. Get off at the stop near Sheridan Rd and walk a short distance to Grosse Point Lighthouse located at 2601 Sheridan Rd.

If you are staying near the center of Oak Lawn, you can walk to the closest bus stop on 95th St. Board the Pace bus 349 heading towards Chicago. Ride the bus until you reach the 95th/Dan Ryan station, then transfer to the CTA train. Once you arrive in Evanston, you can enjoy a scenic walk to Grosse Point Lighthouse by walking along the lakefront path. Just follow the shoreline north until you reach Grosse Point Lighthouse at 2601 Sheridan Rd.
