Public Transportation
From Oak Lawn, head to the nearest train station, Oak Lawn Metra Station, located at 10500 S. Central Ave. Take the Metra train on the SouthWest Service line towards Chicago Union Station. Ride the train until you reach the 55th St. station. Here, transfer to the Green Line train at the Central Park station. Take the Green Line towards Ashland and ride until you reach the Kedzie station. From Kedzie, transfer to the #8 Halsted bus heading north. Ride the bus until you reach the North Avenue & Cannon Drive stop. From there, walk east along North Avenue until you reach Cannon Drive. Turn left on Cannon Drive and continue until you arrive at the Regenstein African Journey.

If you're already in Oak Lawn, start at the Oak Lawn Village Hall located at 9446 S. Raymond Ave. Walk north on Raymond Ave until you reach 95th Street. Cross to the north side and turn left on 95th Street. Continue walking until you reach the Oak Lawn Metra Station, where you can board the train heading towards Chicago. Follow the earlier public transportation directions from here.
