Public Transportation
To reach Ukrainian Village from Oak Lawn, start by heading to the nearest Metra station in Oak Lawn, which is the Oak Lawn Metra Station located at 10501 S Central Ave. Board the Metra train on the SouthWest Service Line towards downtown Chicago. You will need to get off at the Union Station stop. Once you arrive at Union Station, follow the signs to the 'Ogilvie Transportation Center' and transfer to the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) 'L' train. Board the 'Pink Line' train heading towards 18th. After about 5 stops, disembark at the 'California' station. From there, walk east on 18th Street until you reach Kedzie Avenue, then turn north. Continue walking until you reach Ukrainian Village, which is located in the area around Chicago Avenue and Western Avenue.

Bus
From Oak Lawn, you can also take the Pace bus service. Find the nearest bus stop for Pace Route 379, which can take you to the Midway Airport area. From there, transfer to the CTA Orange Line train at the Midway station. Take the train towards the Loop and get off at the 'Pulaski' station. After exiting, transfer to the CTA Pink Line at the Pulaski station. Board the Pink Line train towards 18th and disembark at the 'California' stop. From California, walk east on 18th Street, turn north on Kedzie, and you will arrive in Ukrainian Village.

Walking
If you are already in Oak Lawn and prefer to walk, you can walk to a nearby Metra station and take the train as described earlier. Alternatively, if you are in the vicinity of the Oak Lawn Community Park District, you can take a longer scenic route by walking north along Central Avenue, heading towards 95th Street. Once you reach 95th, turn east and walk until you reach the nearest Metra station, then follow the public transportation guidance provided.
