From Palatine, head to the Palatine Train Station located at 137 W Wood St. Board the Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line train towards Chicago Ogilvie Transportation Center. The journey takes about 50 minutes. After arriving at the Ogilvie Station, follow the signs to the 'Union Station' exit. Once outside, head east towards Washington St, and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Wacker Dr. Turn left and walk north on Wacker Dr. until you reach E Erie St. Turn right on E Erie St, and the Richard H. Driehaus Museum will be on your left at 50 E Erie St.

From Palatine, walk to the nearest bus stop on Dundee Rd & Smith St and take Pace Bus Route 696 towards the Metra Train Station. Get off at the Palatine Train Station and transfer to the Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line train towards Chicago Ogilvie Transportation Center. After about 50 minutes of travel, disembark at Ogilvie Station. Exit the station and follow the same directions as above to walk to the Richard H. Driehaus Museum.
