    The Field Building, also known as the LaSalle National Bank Building and Bank of America Building, stands as a testament to Chicago's architectural prowess. This Art Deco skyscraper, completed in 1934, is located at 135 S La Salle Street in the heart of the Loop. Designed by Graham, Anderson, Probst & White, the 45-story building reaches a height of 535 feet (163.1 m).The Field Building was the last major office building completed in Chicago before the construction hiatus caused by the Great Depression and World War II. It incorporated many advanced features for its time, including high-speed elevators and air conditioning. The building's exterior is clad in limestone, with windows grouped vertically to emphasize its height. The base is made of polished black granite, with aluminum and monel metal framing the windows.The lobby features a multi-level arcade connecting LaSalle and Clark Streets, providing pedestrians access to retail spaces. The elevator indicator panel and mailbox are designed to resemble the building's exterior. The building's location is historically significant, as the world's first skyscraper, the Home Insurance Building (1885–1931), once stood on the western portion of the site. The Field Building was designated a Chicago Landmark on February 9, 1994.
