Car
If you are traveling by car, start by heading east on Main Street towards W 1st Street. Turn left onto W 1st Street, and continue for about 2 miles until you reach Highway 61 N. Merge onto Highway 61 N and continue for approximately 15 miles. Take the exit towards US-20 W and follow the signs for 20 W. Continue for about 5 miles, then take the exit for Bellevue Heights Rd. Turn right onto Bellevue Heights Rd and follow it for about 1 mile. The EB Lyons Interpretive Center will be on your left at 8991 Bellevue Heights Rd, Dubuque, IA 52003. There is no parking fee.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, start by taking the local bus service (Dubuque City Bus) from any location in Prairie State to the Dubuque Transit Center. From the Transit Center, transfer to Bus Route 5, which goes towards the Mines of Spain area. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as the frequency may vary. Get off at the Bellevue Heights Rd stop. From there, it's a short walk (approximately 0.5 miles) to the EB Lyons Interpretive Center. Please note that bus fares may apply, typically around $1.00 per trip.
