Walking
McKee's Mill Historic Site is located within Billie Limacher Bicentennial Park in downtown Joliet. If you're already in the downtown area, walking is a convenient way to reach the park. From the intersection of Jefferson and Center streets, head east on Jefferson Street. The park entrance will be on your left, just before the bridge. Once inside the park, follow the paths to the McKee's Mill site. There is no cost associated with walking.
Public Transport
Joliet has public transportation options available. Check local bus routes for service to the downtown area near Bicentennial Park. From a bus stop near Jefferson Street, it's a short walk to the park entrance. Consult the local transit authority for schedules and fare information. A single bus fare typically costs around $2.
Driving
If driving, navigate to Billie Limacher Bicentennial Park at 201 W. Jefferson Street, Joliet, IL 60432. Free parking is available on the south side of the park; access the lot by driving east on Jefferson from Center Street. During events, parking may be limited, so arrive early. There are no toll roads on the immediate approach to the park.
