From Schaumburg, head to the nearest Metra station, which is the Schaumburg Metra Station located at 1000 W. Golf Road. Board the UP-NW train towards Chicago and enjoy the scenic ride. Once you arrive at the Chicago Union Station, exit the train and make your way to the nearby CTA train station. Board the Blue Line train towards O'Hare and transfer at Washington/Wells to the Brown Line towards Kimball. Get off at the Armitage station. From there, walk east on Armitage Avenue until you reach Clark Street, then turn left. The Chicago History Museum will be ahead at 1601 N Clark St.
