The Taj Museum is located within the Taj Mahal complex, on the western end of the Taj Gardens. After entering the Taj Mahal complex, walk towards the western side of the gardens. The museum is housed in the Western Jal Mahal, a double-storied building with a quadrangle projection. Follow the signs within the complex to reach the museum entrance. Remember that the entry fee to the Taj Museum is INR 20 for Indians and INR 750 for foreign tourists.

If arriving in Agra by train or bus, take an auto-rickshaw or taxi to the Taj Mahal. From Agra Cantt railway station, the distance to the Taj Mahal is approximately 6 km, and a taxi ride typically costs between INR 150 to INR 300. Alternatively, take a shared auto-rickshaw to Bijlighar for INR 10, then another shared auto-rickshaw to Purani Mandi (the entry point of the Taj Mahal) for another INR 10. From the parking area, non-electric tourist buses are available to take visitors to the Taj Mahal complex.
