It encompasses Araku Valley Coffee, Durgi and Allagadda stone carvings, and Udayagiri wooden cutlery, each a testament to the skill and tradition of local artisans and farmers. Araku Valley Coffee, cultivated by tribal communities in the Araku Valley, is known for its distinct flavor and organic cultivation practices. The coffee is grown at an altitude of 900 to 1100 meters above sea level, which lends it a rich texture, size, and taste. Durgi stone carvings, originating from the village of Durgi, are intricate carvings made from a special kind of soft limestone native to the region. The carvings often depict gods and goddesses and are created using traditional techniques according to the Shilp Shastras. Allagadda stone carvings, from the town of Allagadda, are another form of stone art involving intricate designs and patterns carved on stones using traditional tools. The history of this art form dates back to the 16th century during the Vijayanagara Empire. Artisans use sandstone and black stone, following ancient Shilpa Sastra manuscripts in the Vijayanagara style. Udayagiri wooden cutlery, from the Nellore district, consists of finely carved spoons, forks, knives, and bowls with Persian-inspired motifs. This craft is about 150 years old and has been passed down through generations. The wood is sourced from the Durgampalli hills, and the cutlery is known for its utilitarian and decorative appeal.
