The Freedom Wall project began as an initiative by a group of Bengaluru-based IT professionals known as 'Namma Wall'. Their goal was to transform the walls of the C V Raman Hospital and 5th Cross Road into an inspiring and informative space for the community, especially children. The project commemorates Indian freedom fighters, forgotten heroes, and contemporary legends, with a special emphasis on Karnataka's icons. The murals depict historical scenes, portraits, and cultural symbols, created by artists from India and around the world. QR codes are often embedded within the artwork, allowing visitors to scan and learn more about the personalities and stories behind the illustrations.
