Namma Bengaluru Aquarium, also known as the Government Aquarium, offers a glimpse into the world of freshwater aquatic life. Established in 1983, this three-story, octagonal-shaped building is located at the entrance of Cubbon Park and is the second largest aquarium in India. Inside, visitors can explore a diverse collection of both indigenous and exotic freshwater fish species. The aquarium has about 40–50 varieties of fishes, including angelfish, glowlight tetra, red-tail sharks, and more. The recent renovations introduced updated tank designs, interpretation panels, and a 75,000-liter marine tunnel, enhancing the visitor experience. The aquarium is managed by the Karnataka State Government Department of Fisheries. The ground floor houses the office and a fish feed outlet. The first floor features 14 large tanks, while the second floor has two rows of smaller tanks.
