Rajdhani Vatika: Patna's Green Escape

Rajdhani Vatika, popularly known as Eco Park, is a meticulously designed green space in the heart of Patna, the capital of Bihar. Established in October 2011, the park spans over 9.18 hectares and aims to provide a space for relaxation, recreation, and promoting eco-conservation. The park is divided into two main sections, interconnected by an underground tunnel adorned with panels depicting the life of Lord Buddha. The first section welcomes visitors with charmingly carved landscapes, a food corner, fountains, and a children's play area. It also features sculptures by renowned artists, including the 'Cactus Smriti' by Subodh Gupta, made from kitchen items. The second section boasts thematic gardens like the medicinal plant garden, butterfly garden, bamboo garden, Rashi Van, Guru Vatika, and Panchwati, each offering a unique experience. A serene lake allows for pleasant boat rides, and exercise equipment is available for fitness enthusiasts. A replica of Nalanda University's ruins pays homage to Bihar's rich history. Rajdhani Vatika is home to over 3,000 varieties of plants, providing a refreshing oasis with its lush greenery and diverse flora. It's a popular spot for morning jogs, family picnics, and escaping the urban sprawl.
