Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, start from Nagpur, which is a major city in Central India. Head southeast on NH 44 for about 70 km. You will pass through the towns of Kamthi and Ramtek. Continue on NH 44 until you see signs for Zilpi. Take the exit towards Zilpi and follow the local roads for approximately 10 km. The dam is located at 3V79+9MW, Zilpi, Maharashtra 441110. Ensure your vehicle has a good GPS or maps application to navigate local roads.

• Bus

  If you prefer public transportation, take a bus from Nagpur to Zilpi. There are regular buses that run from Nagpur's main bus station to Zilpi. The journey will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Zilpi, you can hire a local auto-rickshaw or taxi to take you to Bhivkund Dam, which is about 5 km from the bus stop. The bus fare is usually around ₹100 to ₹150.

• Auto-Rickshaw or Taxi

  Once in Zilpi, if you choose to travel by auto-rickshaw or taxi, ensure to negotiate the fare beforehand. The trip from Zilpi to Bhivkund Dam should cost you around ₹200 to ₹300. It's a short ride, approximately 15 to 20 minutes, depending on traffic and local road conditions.

• Walking

  If you're already in Zilpi and prefer to walk, Bhivkund Dam is about 5 km away from the town center. Follow the main road leading out of Zilpi, and you will see signs directing you towards the dam. The walk will take approximately 1 hour, so wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
