Metro
If you are near the Chennai Metro, head to the nearest station and board a train towards the Chennai Airport. Get off at the 'Thirumayilai' station. From there, exit the station and take a right onto Kutchery Road. Walk straight for about 1 km. You will reach the intersection with Santhome High Road. Turn left and continue walking for another 500 meters, and you will see Santhome Cathedral Basilica on your right.
Bus
Find a bus stop nearby and board a bus that goes towards Mylapore. Look for buses numbered 5A, 5B, or 23. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at Santhome. Once you alight, walk 200 meters towards Santhome High Road and you will find Santhome Cathedral Basilica directly ahead.
Auto-Rickshaw
Look for an auto-rickshaw stand and tell the driver to take you to Santhome Cathedral Basilica, located at 38, Santhome High Rd, Dummingkuppam, Mylapore. The ride should take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Ensure you have the correct fare ready or agree on a price beforehand.
Walking
If you are in the vicinity of Mylapore, you can simply walk to Santhome Cathedral Basilica. Head towards Kutchery Road, and walk straight until you reach the intersection with Santhome High Road. Turn left and continue walking for about 500 meters. The Cathedral will be on your right side. It’s a scenic walk with local shops and eateries along the way.
