The 80-foot high minar embodies the 'Ya,' while the concrete walls of the first floor, topped with a slab, form the word 'Allah'. A marble dome crowns the structure, enhancing its beauty. The mosque's dimensions are impressive, with a height of 59 feet (including a 16-foot dome), a length of 120 feet, and a width of 100 feet. Adjacent to the mosque is a large Eid-gah measuring 250 feet long and 230 feet wide. Inside, the mosque is adorned with marble tiles and intricate calligraphy of Quranic verses. Plush carpets cover the floor of the spacious prayer hall, which can accommodate hundreds of worshippers. Jama Masjid serves as a central place of worship for the Muslim community in Bhilai and hosts various religious and cultural events, including Eid celebrations, Ramadan Iftars, and educational programs. The mosque's origins trace back to the early 1960s when Muslim executives at the Bhilai Steel Plant sought a dedicated space for worship.
