Dating back to the 7th century AD, this temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and was commissioned by Queen Vasata, the mother of King Mahasivagupta Balarjuna. The temple was built in memory of her husband, Harshgupta. Discovered in 1872 by Lord Cunningham, it has since been recognized as one of the finest brick temples in India.
