Getting There

  • Walking

    From MG Marg, the main street in Gangtok, head towards the Sikkim Tourist Office. Walk down towards the lower part of the city. Continue walking straight, passing through the bustling market area until you reach the junction at Deorali. At the junction, take the left towards Lower Sichay Road. Follow this road for about 2 km, enjoying the scenic views. Keep an eye out for local signs directing you to Ban Jhakri Waterfalls, as the Paragling ground is located nearby. Once you reach the Ban Jhakri Waterfalls area, the Paragling ground is located just a short walk uphill from the waterfalls.

  • Public Transport (Shared Taxi)

    Head to the nearest taxi stand on MG Marg. Look for a shared taxi (usually a small car) heading towards Deorali or Lower Sichey. Once you get into the taxi, inform the driver that you are going to Ban Jhakri Waterfalls. The fare is typically around 30-50 INR. After about 15-20 minutes, you will arrive near the Ban Jhakri Waterfalls. From there, walk uphill for about 500 meters, and you will find the Paragling ground situated nearby.
