Tashi View Point, situated 8 kilometers from Gangtok, is a scenic spot renowned for its breathtaking views of the Himalayan range. The viewpoint was constructed by Tashi Namgyal, the King of Sikkim from 1914 to 1963, and named in his honor.From this vantage point, visitors can witness the majestic peaks of Mount Kanchenjunga and Mount Siniolchu. Binoculars are available for a small fee (around ₹10) to get a closer look at the mountains and surrounding scenery. The Phodong and Labrang Monasteries are also visible on the opposite hills.The best time to visit Tashi View Point is during the early morning to catch the sunrise or late evening for the sunset, when the colors of the sky dramatically transform the mountain views. The months between March and June offer pleasant weather and clear skies.Basic facilities such as a viewing pavilion, souvenir shops, and food stalls are available.
