Campal Gardens, also known as Bhagwan Mahavir Children's Park, is a cherished green oasis in the heart of Panaji, Goa. Situated along the Mandovi River in the Campal area, it provides a serene escape from the city's hustle and bustle.The gardens feature a variety of attractions, including lush lawns, tall palm trees, and vibrant flower beds. A prominent statue of Bhagwan Mahavir in a lotus position stands as a symbol of peace and tranquility within the garden. For families with young children, there's an artificial water body with boating opportunities and a play area equipped with slides and swings.Campal Gardens is not only a recreational space but also a place of historical significance. Within the garden, there's a foundation built by Vasco Da Gama in the late 15th century. The Ashoka Pillar, commemorating the 400th anniversary of the first sea voyage from Europe to India, can also be seen here. The park is maintained by the forest branch of the Government of Goa.
