Gir National Park is the only place in the world where you will find Asiatic lions in the wild and in their majestic form. The forest area is huge and has 10 safari zones. The Safaris are booked centrally through forest office at Sasan and it is very easy to book one online and then obtain the pass from the Sasan forest office window. Safaris are 3-4 hours long but there is a high probability of sightings. Lions, leopards, crocodiles, sambhar deer, spotted deer, hog deer, wild boar, monkeys and number of species of birds; all this wait for you there and I promise a safari in Gir will not be disappointing. It will leave you craving for more. There is also a souvenir shop with variety of souvenir that you can pick up as memorablia for yourself and your close ones. Do not miss the opportunity to be face to face with the Lion King.
